A few of our Featured Projects:

Molson Brewery Vancouver - Refrigeration Modernization

H. S. Crombie has worked with Molson Brewery over the last decade on several projects to upgrade their refrigeration systems to replace and renew aging systems with modern energy efficient and intrinsically safer systems. These projects have included replacing an aging brine refrigerant system with a food grade glycol system all while maintaining cooling to a large number of endpoints to maintain production . We have also recently completed a project to replace existing Ammonia coolers with new glycol cooled equipment without interruption to the production flow.

Labatt Edmonton - CIP Expansion

Completed a full turnkey installation of a new multi use Clean In Place System for chemically cleaning and sterilizing various packaging fillers and storage cellars.

The turnkey installation included all aspects of the projects including design, mechanical and electrical installation, controls engineering and commissioning, and the supply and installation of several 50 hl stainless steel sanitary tanks.

CKF Langley - Recycled Pulp Molding Plant

Historically CKF made foam food trays at their Langley Plant. In 2007 they expanded the facility with a recycled paper pulp processing and tray molding facility. The process equipment was supplied by a European CKF partner. H. S. Crombie supplied and installed all of the stainless steel piping for this project working alongside the owner and the supplier. This project was time critical as CKF had presold the production capacity.

In 2012 we returned to CKF to help them expand with additional molding equipment. H.S. Crombie designed, supplied and installed all of the additions to the piping system for the new equipment.

Air Liquide

Completed a mechanical retrofit and expansion of a compressed gas manufacturing facility. The phased installation consisted of 16 separate coordinated activities and included the removal and installation of various compressors, storage tubes, pumps and high pressure distribution piping up to 6000 psi.

The project also included the fabrication and installation of automated filling and distribution skids.

Owens Corning

Supplied and installed a new 10,000 gallon outdoor oil tank, including the concrete foundation, electrical heat tracing, insulation, and modifications to the distribution piping.

Triumf - Ariel E-Linac Cryo System

As part of a new Triumf's new linear accelerator, they had to build new cryogenic cooling facilities. H. S. Crombie took part in this project installing liquid nitrogen and helium gas piping systems.

Columbia Brewery - Brewhouse Expansion

To expand their brewing capacity, Columbia Brewery in Creston BC expanded their existing brewhouse. Most of the specialized brewing equipment was purchased from a large specialty company in Germany.

H.S. Crombie worked with both Columbia Brewery and the equipment supplier to assemble all of the vessels, and install all the equipment and piping. All work was done while maintaining the plant's production during the expansion.
